I am currently an Editing, Writing, and Media Student at The Florida State University. I am looking into internships and a career path in the editing and publishing field.
Work experience
The Monarch High School Literary Magazine is published each semester by students attending Monarch High School. The magazine publishes student submitted fiction and poetry pieces. It is solely edited and put together by the students on staff.
I wrote fiction stories to submit to the literary magazine. I also played a part in helping with the submitted stories, layout of the magazine, and I helped edit the magazine until it reached its finished form. The literary magazine gave me my first perspective into the field of editing and journalism and also allowed me to experience the workings of a publication first hand.
