Biography

Madeline is currently a student at The Florida State University majoring in Editing, Writing, and Media and minoring in Communications. She plans on graduating in the spring of 2015. Madeline was born and raised in Boca Raton, Florida. Her mother was an english teacher and she grew up fostering a love of writing and reading; as a young child, she enjoyed playing school as well as writing children's books and sharing them with her family. In elementary school she joined the morning announcements team and wrote small stories for her peers to recite to the school during the morning programs.



As Madeline grew older, writing and reading became more than just fun activities; in middle school Madeline joined the yearbook team and wrote for the newsletter that her magnet middle school put out to the students. During high school, she took every creative writing and journalism course offered by the end of her junior year and joined the literary magazine team. In addition to editing and writing for the literary magazine, Madeline joined many club activities including the National Honor Society, National English Honor Society, and also Key Club as well as competing against other schools on the cross country and basketball teams. Through these activities, Madeline realized her passion for not only writing what went on around her but also found a passion for editing as well. 



Madeline currently studies at Florida State as a full time student studying Editing, Writing, and Media. She has written for Swatch Magazine on campus and is also an active member of Florida State's FPRA chapter. In her spare time, Madeline helps write for and edit "The Key", a newsletter her sorority puts out monthly to their alumna and also helps organize the sorority website.
